On March 29, around 1:30 PM EST, we realized that our Twitter account was suspended. Not just us, but an editors’ account was locked, alongside the accounts of the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (AAPRP), and the AAPRP- New Mexico. No justification was given for the locking and suspending of any of these accounts, but we have an idea.
Since the exchange of power between the Trump Administration and the Biden Administration, there has been an attempt to rock the masses back to sleep, singing the lullaby “things are getting back to normal.” But outside the home where babies were being rocked and the lullaby was being sung, the US was carrying out airstrikes in eastern Syria and Somalia. The story of “kids in cages”, which once brought masses of US citizens into the streets and into online flurry, was carefully rebranded into stories about “overflow facilities”. And while the conditions of those facilities continued to grow more dire, the lullaby got louder, as the voices of the US propaganda machine continued to sing “we’re doing the best we can!”
Africans have taken the streets of Haiti in massive displays of revolt. american flags lay scattered across the ground, burning to a crisp. The message of the people is loud and clear: “US OUT OF HAITI! TAKE YOUR NEO COLONIAL PUPPETS! FREE HAITI!” The cries for freedom and self determination ring everywhere around the African world, but in the US they are being drowned out by the constant hum of the Biden administration’s continued support of Jovenel Moïse, and the continuing expansion of AFRICOM and SOUTHCOM. The lullaby carries on.
Here in the US, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris tweet fancams and photos of them walking— to where we have no fucking clue— but we can rest assured it hasn’t been toward improved conditions for the disillusioned american masses. But as the State continues to sing its song of death, not all have been pacified, especially here at Hood Communist. There’s a growing consciousness of Africans in the US and around the world that is connecting the dots of our fates. It’s waking up to the idea that the police terror we face here is connected to the military terror the US inflicts upon the developing world. The non-stop anti-China propaganda we see daily is being realized for what it truly is— the drum beat for a new Cold War, from which many African nations will suffer. The US can hum it’s lullaby, but not everyone is going to listen.
Our message to masses of colonized Africans here in the US and around the world is simple. Our message to masses of ALL colonized masses here in the US and around the world is simple. It is time for us to fall out of the trap of disunity and recognize that we share a common enemy: US empire and western imperialism. The same forces that enslaved and colonized us, wherever we are, are the same forces that continue to deny us the self determination that is necessary to carry out the work of revolution that our ancestors laid before us. It is crucial, now more than ever, that all colonized populations work toward principled unity, sacrifice and struggle. This has been our message from day one. It is a message that is shared by the organization of every editor on this team— from The Black Alliance for Peace to the All African People’s Revolutionary Party.
Funny enough, our suspension comes after a weekend full of targeted harassment from Twitter racists and chauvinist US leftists who seethe at the idea of colonized unity within the US and throughout the third world. Our suspension comes after a weekend full of targeted harassment for speaking out against Cold War rhetoric directed at the Communist Party of China. All people seriously concerned with revolution MUST take a stand against this imperialist propaganda, wherever it may appear. As “leftists” in the core of the empire, we need to understand that if our message aint anti-imperialist, we aint saying shit!
No one ever said that building power among the colonized masses would be easy. It will in fact be quite difficult to interrogate our various contradictions along the lines of race, gender and class. But it is necessary work, because the alternative is we all die in this illegitimate science fair project called america. Join an organization fighting for the liberation of your people, whoever that may be. We are not outnumbered, we are out organized, word to Kwame Ture! The time to build power is now! We are many people with one enemy: US imperialism. It is our DUTY to humanity, and our DEBT to our ancestors, the political prisoners who today remain abandoned in US prisons, and the future of our world, to defeat it. The suspension of our Twitter account is nothing more than a sign that our message is being heard by the monsters that sing the lullaby. Land back! No Compromise, No Retreat! Forward ever!
