Zionism is Against Africa & Africans

Before we begin, I want to acknowledge that I am sitting on LennI Lenape land, on Turtle Island; this acknowledgement must be the place we start from, to address the contradictions we are discussing this evening.  As our session is discussing the negative effects of zionism upon our African population, at home and abroad; I shall open with a couple of quotes from Nelson Mandela- now lionized as ‘a man of peace and compromise,’ but was a direct enemy of the west and its allies, placing him on the U.S. terrorist watch list until 2008.     From Mandela: “If one has . . .

Zionism in Haiti: Israel Exporting an Apartheid State

“ If the Israeli Zionists believe their present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of predictions made by their Jewish prophets, then they also religiously believe that Israel must fulfill its “divine” mission to rule all other nations with a rod of irons…more firmly entrenched even, than that of the former European Colonial Powers. These Israeli Zionists religiously believe their Jewish God has chosen them to replace the outdated European colonialism with a new form of colonialism, so well disguised that it will enable them to deceive the African masses into submitting willingly to their “divine” authority and guidance, . . .

The Black Misleaders Promote Zionism

In 2021 this columnist wrote, “The Palestine Litmus Test.” At that time Israel, a bastion of zionism, was carrying out one of its periodic attacks against Gaza, deliberately targeting civilians, and in doing so practicing war crimes. Now the zionist state is intent on completely destroying Gaza, killing as many people as possible and driving out the survivors so that the region can be open for settlement and for oil and gas extraction.  The horrific scenes of carnage have evoked revulsion for millions of people in the United States and around the world. Huge protests have taken place nationally and . . .

Baltimore & Israel: A Global Gang of Colonizers

The Black Alliance for Peace- Baltimore From Haiti to Puerto Rico and from the Congo to Baltimore, African (Black) people suffer from colonialism. Current atrocities happening to the people of Gaza and the West Bank clearly show the colonial reality of life and death in Palestine. What we see daily in Palestine is a project to completely replace the indigenous population with a settler population. The attempt to exterminate the Palestinians is being carried through collusion between Israel, the U.S, the European Union, and all western powers. This is nothing less than a genocidal campaign to occupy Gaza, and slaughter . . .

Zionism, Settler-colonialism and the Myth of Democracy

Zionism is settler-colonialism and settler-colonialism is an act of genocide.  This current wave of massacres of Palestinians in Gaza is part of a long process of ethnic cleansing that began with murderous attacks on Palestinian villages prior to and in 1948, then proceeded to the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians in the Nakba. The ethnic cleansing is all these acts of settler-colonial dispossession and deprivation including military assaults, destruction of homes, crops and cultural sites, arrests, rape and torture, blockades and denial of water and food as well as killing of women and children. In the age of capitalist . . .

Palestine fights back!

On a daily basis, much of the world stands silent while Zionists and Israeli butchers, murder Palestinian civilians, with a particular focus on children and youth. The over 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza effectively live in an open air prison without any rights, freedom of movement, or control of their lives, and are denied self-determination. Crying “enough is enough,” Hamas-led fighters courageously carried out a well-coordinated offensive against their oppressors. In response, Israel has declared war against the Palestinian people, labeling them terrorists and claiming the attack to be unprovoked. But the fact of the matter is, Israel declared . . .

A Primer on the Occupation of Western Sahara

As Israel recognizes the sovereignty of Morocco over Western Sahara, it is imperative that we stand in solidarity with the indigenous Sahrawis and their right to self-determination. The area known as Western Sahara today, commonly referred to as ‘Africa’s last colony’ was occupied by Spain up until 1975. Despite the International Court of Justice declaring the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination, the kingdom of Morocco has engaged in settler colonialism ever since. The US was the first country to recognize Moroccan sovereignty over the region, in December of 2020.  Israel’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the territory can be observed as an . . .
